I think I lost my groove somewhere between here and Las Vegas. Life is certainly not the same! Nor do I want it to be. Today was day 5 back in Kansas City (6 if you count re-entry when we slept all day). It was the first time I ventured into the real world with all four children by myself. First to the bank. Uneventful. Then to USA Baby where I found the perfect crib on double clearance. Wahoo. Then to Costco. This is where things got a bit more interesting. We now have to use TWO carts - one for a car seat and one for all the stuff. Because things take longer with 4 kiddos, we ran into feeding time (or "milking time" if you are Zion) for Zoe. I did what any resourceful mother would do -- we took a group shopping break in the massage chair aisle and fed the baby. Had alot of conversations with passersby as well. When she was done, we finished our list checked out and went home. I DID IT! Of course, now I am exhausted, but I call it a win!
I seem to be swimming in so many thoughts and emotions these days with very little spare time to journal and blog. God knows. One thing I am super thankful for is the grace there seems to be in these times for the richness of His presence when I whisper quick prayers. It's like - woosh - He's there. I love that.
I hear a baby crying - that's my cue. Perhaps I will write more in the middle of the night.......
