We went to the Daytonda Flea Market today after I convinced my family that it was a unique part of American culture known all over the USA, much like Wal Drug. Well, it was.....interesting. Funny thing is my Aunt Penny took me there 9 years ago and I remember it as a bargain hunters paradise. Apparently I blocked out of my memory all the creepy details. It was like being at a carnival without the rides. We did find a couple good deals, but I never have to go back in this lifetime.

We headed to Crabby Joes for dinner. Grayson announced on the way, "I think I'll have crab". Randy asked if he even knew what crab tasted like. He said, "Yep. Kinda like ham." I wouldn't have put it that way, but he's kinda right. The restaurant was located on the pier and we chose to sit outside. A breeze was blowing, the waves were whipping, surfers were showing off and dolphins were playing. It was alot like Kansas City : ) Fish and chips on the pier; now that's beach food!

Before we played our new board game (thanks Grayson for a great plan!), we decided to take some time and explore the Song of Solomon as a family. I should have expected it, but did not expect how FUNNY this would be with 3 little boys!! We aked them each what they thought about it:

Grayson (in his best theater voice): Drama! Poetry! Romance! God loves us!

Jackson: Well, I've kinda tried to avoid it, really. It's kind of...uh...you know.

Zion: (silence) (we tell him there are 60 men with swords in the story) HUGE SMILES.

Grayson gives a dramatic interpretation of the reading of chapter 1, verses 1-4. "Kiss me with the kisses of your mouth" -- Zion absolutely cackles with laughter. "For your love is better than wine" More cackling - from the gut. "Your name is like perfume poured forth" -- now we are all laughing hysterically. (I don't think I've ever seen anything like it!).

When we all gained our compsure, we went on to read through verse 6 and talked about how to tend our own vineyard. It was quite amazing. The Bohlender boys have a grasp on this great book. Even though it might take us a year to get throuh it as a family!

I think we might open the balcony door tonight so the waves can rock us to sleep......good night!
