I guess yesterday was "Revolutionary War" study at day camp. Why not "Age of Industry" or "Current Events in America"? Nope, it had to be Revolutionary War the day Grayson invites his friend who is admittedly nervous of the history of this great country. I had to chuckle......

We took Jackson to get shoes last night. That boy is so hard on shoes! Not to mention the fact that he is very particular. Not brand-wise, nope not a Nike Snob. But the look has to be just right. I tried to convince him that if he got the boat shoes off the clearance rack that he would most definitely start a fad. He didn't buy it. Randy said if he was going to be retro he had to all the way back to the 80's. No go. He found a pair of Addidas Samba-types that he liked, but I reminded him that he has tried on 50 pairs of those (more or less) and his foot is just too wide. He looked at the box and said, "Never mind - these are Muhammad Ali's and he is the Prime Minister of Somalia". I about wet my pants I laughed so hard. Home schooling at it's finest! (In Jackson's defense, the current leader of Somalia is Ali Mohammad Ghedi -- close, but not on target!)
