In the signs and wonders department, Jackson is now claiming that he LIKES Algebra. I had to blog this so it would be documented somewhere. He LIKES math, my friends. Yes, miracles are breaking out in the Kansas City area and Jackson is doing his math homework with no complaints.
He had his first test yesterday so Mom and Dad logged into the teacher's website late last night to see that the "A" that was posted next to our little schnuckem's name! Wahoo! We did the happy dance.
I have tried so hard these past many years to be a capable math teacher, but alas, have found it is not in my "gift-mix". And the child despised the dubject so much that he would almost daily try to convince me that math played no part of his future adult life. I explained that we use math everyday -- he said, "Then I will just be an artist when I grow up!" Ha! My philosophy of homeschooling had been that if I could just show them love and stability in the home they would build character and learn what they needed at some point.
I guess it just goes to show that love can make the world go 'round but a good math teacher gits-r-done.
Way to go Jackeroo!

Hi Kelsey,
Just wondering if you were able to join in on the conference call with Lou Engle on Thursday night. He discussed a dream someone had that dealt with "The Scarlett letter" and an "A" which he believed stood for Authority to Abolish Abortion and also Adoption. This blog just seems too "coincidental" to not take note! If you didn't join in on the conference call...he said he will be posting it on Bound4Life website.

Reminds me of my nephew's comment to his father about not doing homework (He goes to a french immersion school)-
"But son, you need to do your homework if you expect to graduate and get a job"
"Oh no Dad. I can be a substitute teacher. The last one we had didn't even know how to speak french"
Ha!
