I was going to be with Lou Engle and the gang, so I should've expected something like this!
I stopped through the Tri Cities on my way to Charlotte. While at the Tri-Hop prayer meeting, Robyn Porter came up to me with a gift wrapped in gold Christmas paper. She tells me it's a prophetic Christmas gift (never mind the fact that is JULY!). As I open it she says, "It's time!" in that melodic southern accent. I thought, time for what? I opened the present and it was a Horton the Elephant alarm clock. The dingers are baby pink and blue. My jaw dropped -- I said, "Do you know where I am going?" Of course she didn't - she didn't even know I would be there. She had to run back home to get the gift because the Lord told her I needed it NOW. I told her I was going to The Rumble to speak on the spirit of adoption. She said, "Well, honey, SOUND THE ALARM". I looked at the clock and it was sealed in the box set at 11:55. 5 minutes till midnight. The eleventh hour. A divine window of opporunity.
Malachi 4:6 "Behold I will send the prophet Elijah before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord and he will turn the hearts of the father to the children and the children to the fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a curse."
It's time. Sound the alarm. Hortons arise. Those who will take those who are not their own and call them their own. Those who will lay down their own destinies and lives for the next generation, fully confident that their reward is in the age to come. We need to end of the age elephants to blow their trumpets! Who knew Dr. Seuss was a prophet? If you aren't connecting the dots -- read Horton Hears a Who and then Horton Hatches the Egg and let the read understand. It's a kairos moment. For. Real.
