Some days I think I live in a zoo....

One of those days was yesterday. Not only because we had 5 little boys running around the house the whole afternoon, but because we added an animal to the family - again. A baby bunny got stuck in the window well and had to be rescued. It was quite a drama. Laundry baskets, string, carrots and 5 boys - all to get a 5 inch bunny out of a 12 inch deep window well! When the bunny-novelty wore off, the boys got Kiwi out of his cage. All was well until Grayson ran down the hallway yelling, "Kiwi went down the laundry chute!!" Oh, great - I was only making dinner for 13 and had just gotten off the phone with an old friend praying her through a life crisis - now I have a half-dead rodent down the laundry chute (which, by the way, dumps out in Gramma's living room). Cheers to Grayson who acted with speedy justice and found the dazed hamster staggering in the basement. Dinner went well - we had chicken kabobs that ROCKED (if I do say so myself).

As I am typing, the boys are debating letting the bunny go free in the wild because Gramma has told them how hot it will get for him in the garage. Nothing like boiled rabbit. Grayson is making himself Macaroni Bugs for lunch (the organic equivalent of Kraft Mac&Cheez) and Zion has brought me my eyeliner pencil and asked me to draw kitten whiskers on his nose. I DO LIVE IN A ZOO!

But it is a very exciting zoo! There is never a dull moment at the Bohlender's house. I love it!
